Weekly Collective Reading June 23-29: Abundance is Yours

You are learning what it is like to be filled again. For so long, you’ve been scraping the bottom of the barrel on your energy reserves, money reserves, and every form of abundance. This was acceptable to you because you believed that having these things brought hardship or shame.

What really made you feel bad was not having the abundance, but rather the way people treated you when you had it. The jealousy, devaluing, and outright thievery you experienced caused you to believe that you would be safer if you just gave it all away. People-pleasing was rewarded with a lessening of the aggression. Eventually, you became convinced that you were always without, that that was all you had ever known. Paradoxically, these same thieves told you that because you had very little, you were less than them–as they flaunted your riches as their own.

A tool becomes dangerous in the hands of someone unequipped to wield it, and that is exactly what happened. Misuse and lack of wisdom created a worsening situation, until finally, you decided that it was time for you to step in and reclaim what is yours. Any honest mistakes you made couldn’t be worse than a deliberate abuse of power.

And that is exactly what you are doing. As you reclaim your rightful place, gifts, possessions, and relationships, you once again feel abundant. It may feel weird, and that’s okay.

Be patient with yourself as you adjust. Triggers will surface for you to deal with, but you have what you need to work through them. You deserve the abundance, and you are remembering what to do with it. It will feel natural again soon enough.

Thank you for reading. I post my weekly collective readings here and send them out to my subscribers.

Collective Reading June 16-22: Rectification

In order for something new to be created, you must first understand enough of what went poorly up until now to make different choices.

Not everything that happened badly in your life was your doing. Much like a child catching a cold in the first week of going to a new school, you simply were not prepared to fight off something you had never encountered before. How could you know what you didn’t know? How could you have immunity to something you had never experienced before?

The virus may not have been of your creation, but now that it’s in your immune system, it is your responsibility to get well.

There is no need to shame yourself for getting hurt. There is no need for blame. Tearing yourself or another person down for succumbing to illness merely adds insult to injury, and makes it harder to recover. Acceptance of what is and compassion for suffering are key.

It is tempting to be afraid of what happened to you or someone else, but fear is only useful when it catalyzes good action. If overused, it results in victim blame, wasted resources, and needless isolation. It is reasonable to wash your hands or wear a mask if you encounter illness. It is unreasonable to yell at someone to try to make them wash their hands or use a mask. Connection and empathy are antithetical to shame and control, and getting someone to do something up to your own standards out of fear either fails to work entirely or comes at the cost of the relationship. This manifests over time and is not easily visible right away to most people.

We as humans learn to shut down our perceptions because we are taught that seeing too much or pointing out what is wrong gets us in trouble. We learn how to remain silent, because we are afraid of the cost of failing. We have a lot to unlearn when we uncover our own intuition and spiritual gifts.

The gift of perceiving truth will ask you to sacrifice the shame and guilt you accepted so that you could fit in with people who wished to hide their own flaws. It will prompt you to pull back and tune out the voices of others so that your own voice is recognizable. The Hermit reminds you that there is authority in being able to hear and speak your truth. Being alone is sometimes necessary, but being lonely is optional.

You are creating light out of darkness, not because you made the dark, but because you have had the raw material to create light handed to you. Never underestimate your ability to alchemize darkness into light. Goodness is born out of the lack of it. You are the secret sauce.

This journey promises success and healing to those who accept it. Just as misfortune happened without you creating it, allow and expect miracles to happen when needed. You have everything necessary. Keep going.

Collective Reading June 9-15: Community

The theme of this week is learning how to trust in love. Old patterns of fear and doubt urge you to close off from community, but nourishment is found by leaning in to healthy relationships. You have enough tools to identify and maintain better relationships than ever before, and if you feel yourself lacking, you have the tools to learn new skills. No attempt is wasted. Either you win, or you learn. There is no place for shame in the Path of Grace.

When you make mistakes, it is important to take accountability for your part. But if you see what your basic intentions are, you can see every action in context. You know that you’re doing your best in a noble and difficult cause. If you have slipped into an unconscious intention to cause harm, and you feel badly over it, you know that you can pause, walk it back, and make another choice.

Your subconscious is driven by the need to protect and nurture you. It will find the most reliable tools for the job, even if they are not the best tools. What need have you been trying to fill? Remember Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Consider also Bashar’s Hierarchy of Needs. It is hard to give from a place of lack, and drowning in unmet needs will place you in lack fast. If you find you are struggling to give from a place of abundance, take some time to change your mindset before proceeding. Get back into abundance with gratitude, positive self-talk, and whatever other tools you have learned.

The Mother Wound shows up in how we associate with nurture and nourishment this week. Understand that your early experiences were tinged with the human failings of others. Was it your fault that your caregivers did not respond well at times? No, of course not. And when you have failed to show up with a perfect response, do you regret how it impacted everyone? Of course you do.

We are all working with a very limited perspective, a veil of forgetting, a host of big feelings, and loudly contradictory advice. It’s not surprising that we may fail sometimes. The best thing for everyone is if we take the knowledge and conscious awareness we have now, add compassion, and try again with more tools. You were not meant to be perfect. But as a human, you need the practice learning how to be with other humans. You have highly valued the impact of your actions. Remember that your intentions matter, too, more than you know.

The thing is, your intentions do not match everyone else’s all the time, and it is often difficult to define what is going on in someone else’s head–especially when you are on the receiving end of their actions. You cannot fix someone else or make them see things your way. Set a boundary that meets your needs, offer unconditional love wherever you can, and keep setting and enforcing reasonable boundaries.

Being in community with others who have good intentions and are working on their skills will bring up old wounds. It will test your resolve and your awareness of your own issues. This is by design.

You are moving to a place of increased peace, abundance, and success. Let the old wounds come up to be exhumed, get help where you need it, and remember that the negative feelings are temporary. If you allow them to pass through without resistance, they will fade and be replaced by the joy and successes of your more recent work. Earth Father acknowledges the seeds of joy you have been planting and tending to. If you don’t see the growth above ground yet, trust that there is growth underground.

It’s all coming together for you. Keep going. You are only beginning to taste the fruits of your labors.

Collective Reading June 2-8: Making Peace

There are rainbows and flags all over this reading. This is a confirmation of everything we are doing to stand up and be ourselves, exercise our rights as humans, and live authentically.

Wind Father has a special message this week: in everything you fight for, be sure you are finding solutions where everyone wins. There will always be differences, and championing your cause is right, but success comes in finding harmony. If it feels difficult, it is because you are coming across wounding, aka trauma, surrounding the problem at hand. While your emotions are valid, they may not be fully rooted in the present moment. Give yourself extra time and space to practice self-compassion this week. You’re doing a lot.

With movement forward, there can be a lot of noise. Your goal is to simplify what you can, tune out what you’re not responsible to fix, and keep going. There is so much possibility that it may feel overwhelming trying to pick one next step. The Chariot reminds you that all the choices you feel have potential will lead you where you’re going. There isn’t just one way to do this. Let someone else take the path that is most direct for them, while allowing yourself the path that makes the most sense for you. Again, being different from every other person on the planet is normal. Maybe the scenic route is better sometimes.

If there were no contention or disagreement, there would be no need to make peace. What if you stopped trying to make everything be something it isn’t and instead put your energy into doing what you’re supposed to be doing? You have enough energy to do YOUR job. Steve over there isn’t your problem.

Keep going. You’re doing the work to crawl out of the chrysalis and will soon catch sight of your beautiful wings.

Collective Reading May 26-June 1: The Devil You Know

The saying, “Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t,” comes to mind.

You have done all this work to uncover the restrictions you didn’t know about, as seen in the Devil card, and now that you see them, it is tempting to run to other ones that you don’t know. This comes from a place of feeling inadequate, and hoping that any other situation would be better than this one. Trust that this exact set of chains are what you need to create success.

Life requires a certain amount of restriction to provide the backdrop for our growth, joy, and experience. You cannot fly without falling. You cannot gain without losing. You cannot create without an empty space to put your creations. Abundance is defined by lack.

Forget flying for a minute. You cannot even walk without falling. The sheer act of walking is described by functional medicine experts as controlled falling. Each step you take is an act of catching yourself as you fall forward. “Faith in every footstep” is a lot more literal than we would like to imagine it is.

You’re so careful and stuck in your head that you sometimes forget to feel. This week is a time to get comfortable with your reactions to seeing what’s behind the curtain. Yes, there are unpleasant circumstances that you were not aware of before. Most of them aren’t going to be resolved any time soon.

In some cases in the past, you could remove the problems. You could escape, and it was the right thing to do so. But what are you going to do when you cannot escape?

In times when it is better to stay and endure, we have the choice of remembering what the problem is or pretending it isn’t there. What option is going to serve you best today?

Discomfort does not mean life-threatening. Knowing the problem doesn’t mean instantly having it go away. The ability to accept what is until you can resolve it is such a power move. Once you dig in and get fully present, you will find the strength and confidence to do what you’re here to do. This is the way to achieve your desires.

9 of Earth promises the financial and physical abundance you’ve been seeking as you alchemize difficulty into harmony. Stick with it. This does get better, and the result is worth the process.

Collective Reading May 19-25: Don’t Delay Joy

Going inward is called for here. There is so much growth to be had in how you deal with restrictions this week, but you will enjoy it and benefit from it to its full effect if you can become aware of your own truths and allow everyone else’s truths to fade from your awareness.

Your authority, your right to exist, and your right to grounding were never truly taken from you, because they cannot be. But the de facto situation has found you lacking in all of them to one degree or another. And honestly, no matter when you get to the final resolution of your woes, you deserve to live in joy now. The military saying, “You cannot take from, only add to,” explains the technicalities that have kept you from living in abundance. “Yes, but…” is just adding hoops to jump through and delaying the receiving.

I’m seeing this show up not only in the outer world but also in the inner mind. One begets the other, but the one you can control the most is what’s in you. When you can regulate and allow your emotions to pass through in response to a restriction, you can get to the next step of solving the problem more quickly. Acknowledge the problem and how you feel about it, and then say to yourself, “Anyway…”

You deserve a joyful life. The best revenge is a life well lived. You may not be able to remove the sad times, but the average of your emotional states can still be great. If you lose one penny but have 99 left, you have kept the greater share. So, too, if you spend less time dwelling in frustration, you will have more minutes in your day that are full of whatever pleases you.

This is not to encourage spiritual bypassing or emotional bypassing. Your frustrations are still there and still valid. But if you can validate and love yourself through them, you will more easily navigate to the unconditional love that feeds your soul. Acceptance of what is lessens your resistance to things you cannot change.

So keep going, sweet soul. You are not less lovable for struggling. Rather, you need to allow more love in to balance that hurt, and the Universe has plenty of love just waiting for you to allow it in.

Collective Reading May 12-18: Reconnect to Your Source

With long-term shifts in how we live, think, believe, and act, the continuance of change can feel relentless. Excitement fades as the new becomes monotonous. So what keeps us going now?

Endurance is only worthwhile when we believe in the results. Without that belief in our inner knowing, our minds begin to ruminate on the doubt. What if we were wrong? What if it doesn’t get better? What if what we cannot see doesn’t truly exist?

Doubt is part of the journey. Without it, we cannot use imagination, hope, or creativity. These things cannot exist when they are prescribed. If the story is already written, you have to follow it to the end, but if it is still unwritten, you have the chance to create a new ending, navigate a new course, and be curious.

When you realize that the journey from darkness to light is one journey, and that you cannot have one without the contrast of the other, you must then accept that the things you have been fighting against will exist as long as the light exists–as long as you exist.

This is shadow work at its finest. When the dark is put back in balance, and the fear is vanquished, you can love and appreciate it in safety, knowing that everything is a tool to suit your highest purpose.

You exist for a good reason. Trust that belief until you know. You are capable of making use of the darkness you have experienced and will experience. Trust that when you embody yourself and show up, you will be more powerful than any darkness you encounter.

Imagine your life like a mathematical equation, with all sorts of complicated formulas equal to one simplified answer. You are not the problem. You are a variable that can help solve the problem. If you stop existing, the problem goes unsolved because your variable is missing. But here’s the funniest part, and the part that undoes the last few sentences.

You are equal to the whole equation. Which means that if any part of you is destroyed by the darkness, you will be reborn into the missing variables to complete the equation again. And through many lives, you have done exactly that.

You just don’t die. It doesn’t matter how much the dark tries to kill you, fearing your light. You will be reborn into the equation until the problem is simplified into oneness. Until darkness is once again unified back into light and opposing forces become unified again, you will continue to come back, more powerful than before, more wise than before.

You are both a variable in the unsolved equation and the whole solution, because you exist on all dimensions of existence. When you connect back into the Source of Who You Are, you become one with the solution, and the parts that were depleted or destroyed are replenished.

So when you find yourself exhausted, lost, or doubting, still your mind. Meditate and reconnect to your Source. You will feel peace and power again.

If you need help reconnecting, I have good news. I am putting together a class to teach you how to reconnect with your inner knowing and clear your energy. If this sounds like something you would like to be part of, stay tuned for further announcement.

If you need an energy session to help clear you in the meantime, reach out to insight.with.el@gmail.com to schedule.

Have an empowering week.

Collective Reading May 5-11: Play Some Party Games

This week, we are finding out how to get to yes. So much of your frustration has been wrapped up in how you have handled being told no. No, you cannot always have it your way; no, you cannot always have it easy. That’s not the point. There isn’t as much difference between yes and no as you have been led to believe.

The point of your experiences has been to teach you where your power truly is, and how to interact within a system or community. In doing so now, be aware of how you internalize your perception of cause and effect. Is it truly unfair, or have you been misusing your power and focusing on the opposite of what you want? Victimhood turns to survivorship as you divest yourself of the negative bullshit you were handed, and take back your power. Good sportsmanship is everything right now.

Think of manifestation and opposites like a game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey. You’ve received a blindfold, been spun around wildly, and then felt your way toward what you thought was the right direction. Before putting on the blindfold, you knew which direction you should go. And you still do, deep down.

Your best bet for choosing the direction you want to go in now is to reorganize the information you’re getting. Being blinded and dizzy are not something you can fully remove at this point, but you can let the dizziness fade as you listen for the direction of the crowd around you, take experimental steps, and course correct.

Even if you are having a hard time hearing your guides, your loudest opposition can be useful to orient you to where you shouldn’t go. Triangulate your position and direction from all the useful data you have, and don’t take the heckling to heart. They are just playing a silly game, and you happen to be the center of it at this point.

The Magus reminds you that you have everything you actually need, so apply it properly. Notice that the person on the card is also blindfolded. Their hands are connecting up and down, grounding and inspiration. The table before them holds tools at working level and gives them something to lean against, and their feet are feeling the ripples of energy coming in with opposing tides. Each ripple holds valuable information.

Trust that your path is unfolding in the perfect timing for you. If you haven’t gotten to the success part yet, what small wins have you had? Remember that this is a game, and that enjoying the playing of it is what makes it fun. It’s your turn to pin the tail on now. Even if you miss, you’re getting a turn, and you have people cheering you on. No one is punished for missing the donkey’s rear end, so relax into the moment and enjoy the attention. It is all coming together for your highest good.

Collective Reading April 28-May 4: Take Yourself at Face Value

The longer you wait to allow positive change in your life, the more drastic it will seem when you finally allow it.

Imagine if you grew from being an infant to being a full-grown adult in a matter of weeks. You would change so rapidly that it would be shocking to both witness and experience.

The fact is, you have been changing on the inside all this time, but you haven’t seen the progress on the outside. You’re clinging to the old you, and the old ways, despite the fact that they no longer fit. You’re putting an enormous effort into appearing the way you used to be, trying to fit into your old baby clothes.

If you didn’t feel like people had to see you as this old version of you, it would be easier for you to just exist as you are. But because you are afraid to appear different, you feel it valuable to spend effort on fitting in.

You aren’t the same person as you were when you first met the people you share your life with now. You never truly were, to be perfectly frank. You are who you are, and the only reason you looked like the person you thought you were in the first place is because you’ve been trying on masks.

The more you try to hide behind a mask, the more you will realize just how unfulfilling it is to do so. This emptiness causes you to feel uncomfortable, and rightly so. You were not made to fit in, or to look like everyone else. That discomfort has built up to a boiling point inside you, and you are bursting with the desire to experience fulfillment.

Let yourself grow. You were made to transcend every struggle you come across. Why should you stop climbing, when you continue to come across mountains to climb? The trail stretches on ahead, inviting you onward. Your needs are provided for as you advance.

It’s time to let go of what you think your life should look like, and start living it at face value. It’s time to look forward with curiosity. You are safest when you are moving in alignment with your purpose. Don’t settle in places that were only meant as temporary campsites. When the weather turns, you won’t want to be stuck in it.

You are where you are meant to be, doing what you came to do. This state of chaos is something you came prepared for. You were literally born to blaze a trail through it to peace and prosperity. So remember who you are, and accept yourself unconditionally. In all this change and growth, embrace your truth. It’s the only thing that will guide you right.

Collective Reading April 21-27: Remove Blocks Creatively

The catalyst to your freedom lies in the ways in which you have been unfree. This means that rather than run away from the discomfort, you must find a way to sit with it safely. You may wish to have a professional hold space with you and offer you tools, as needed, or you may wish to take some time to yourself to work it out. Remember that a true facilitator will have good boundaries to keep everyone safe. They will sometimes say no, and that is a good thing.

While you have been denied support maliciously before, you must understand that consent is a universal law, and that people can say no out of kindness, too. As you have been learning by experience, an honest no is better than a dishonest yes.

Honor the no that people give you the first time–including your own. If you feel weird about something, your body is giving you a no. Figure out what it is about, by all means, but honor the no in the meantime. If you push past it to say yes, and then act with a less kind no, the first thing to do is to honor the no. Then you can repair any actions that followed from a place of love.

As an example, if you make plans that you are worried you cannot keep, and then either keep the plans but act resentfully or cancel last-minute, you have pushed past a natural no. Your body is designed to keep you safe, and will often do so by self-sabotaging. Try not to take it personally when someone else does the same thing, as it truly has more to do with them than with you.

Every restriction you have is there because, at some point in your journey, you felt safer with it. Sometimes we place complications in our own way to slow us down, kind of like a runaway truck ramp on steep canyon roads. This includes difficult people, foods or pathogens that make you sick, being too busy, blinders that keep you from seeing someone clearly, and many other things. You needed it, so the Universe provided it.

This week, you are ready to shed some or all of these things. Because you are ready, the Universe provides you a way to do so.

Remember that every path you choose is a valid one to get where you’re going. Sometimes the most direct path is too steep for you. You may zigzag or double back because that is the most direct path for you. Do not judge yourself or others in comparison. Everyone has a different path, and we are all just trying to live our best lives, whatever that means for each of us.

The Guiding Card, Ace of Cups, says that you have everything you need, even if it isn’t clear or simple–yet. Honor your journey, honor your no, and allow yourself to understand your blocks so that you can remove or reorder what no longer serves you. Maybe that runaway truck ramp needs to move off to the side of the highway instead of being on it, or maybe you need to open a savings account and plan to put in a little each paycheck so that more money can flow to you. Maybe you need to change your phone etiquette to have offline hours, or block someone’s number, so that when you do pick up the phone, it is a joyful and connected experience. Be creative when approaching blockages, and you will find that they are your greatest assets.

Everything in your life should feel good to you. Often we build resentment around the limits we have, and then we suffer again and again from that repeated experience. This is unnecessary. There is plenty of freedom, plenty of fun, plenty of everything you need. You deserve to have everything working for you, and it already does so, as much as you allow it to. You are the highest power in your own life.

You’re doing a really great job. Have a fantastic week!
